| Day 11 |
Day 1 San Francisco (1D) Meeting at 8 am in San Francisco. Once provided with the right bike, map and equipment to ensure a safe ride the adventure begins. Explore what this exciting city has to offer and learn about the diverse history of the area as you pedal along the scenic bike trail in San Francisco. Bike through world-famous Fisherman’s Wharf with it‘s fishing boats, sea food stalls and watch sea lions basking in the sun at the most popular Pier in San Francisco: Pier 39! Then bike to the western-most part of the Wharf, Municipal Pier and you’ll find one of the best views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. Continue to some of San Francisco’s most scenic and historic areas including the Presidio and the Marina. Finally bike 1.7 miles across the famous Golden Gate Bridge and take a short break at Vista Point to enjoy an excellent view back over the city and learn about the fascinating facts of Alcatraz. Finish this amazing bike tour as you travel downhill to beautiful Sausalito, a hidden treasure not to be missed! This quiet, charming town is famous for it’s funky houseboat community and is best known for its spectacular waterfront views. Enjoy a tasty lunch at one of the many great seafood Restaurants before we load up the bikes and take a short drive to Point Reyes. A spectacular short hike with views of Drakes Bay, the Pacific Ocean and rocky cliffs drop off steeply to the water await us on the Chimney Rock Trail. Then visit the historic Point Reyes Lighthouse that warned mariners of danger for more than a hundred years. See historic photographs of shipwrecks and lighthouse-keepers and get to know much more about the history of this fascinating place! In the late afternoon you will reach charming Healdsburg, a town known for its genuine down to earth personality. Discover the treasures and treats of this small town including world class shopping, wines, cheese and organic locally grown food. With over 100 world class wineries and tasting rooms around Healdsburg, it is the ideal place to discover all the best Sonoma County has to offer. In the evening enjoy a group dinner. Day 2 Russian River (1B,1L) In the morning transfer to Russian River for a half day kayaking tour (2-3 hours). The Russian River is surrounded by ancient redwoods in the heart of spectacular Sonoma Wine Country just a few miles from the Sonoma Coast. View wildlife such as: otter, Great Blue Heron, osprey, turtles and more. Picnic, swim and sunbathe at beaches along this incredible stretch of the river. Not into kayaking? Then take the opportunity and hike in beautiful Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Preserve. The coast redwood is the tallest living thing on our planet. Some trees survive to over 2,000 years. Next visit the Korbel Champagne Cellars, one of the most famous winery based in Guerneville. Take part in a winery tour highlighting the history of the establishment and try their tasty sparkling wines in a tasting room before it is time to head back to the hotel. Day 3 Calistoga/Napa Valley (1B,1L) Today is all about the exciting bike tour off the beaten path through breathtaking Napa Valley. Our tour takes us to fruitful vineyards, historic towns and beautiful gardens. Here, the old Napa way is very much still alive. Many wineries of every variety are ours to discover as we cycle this romantic landscape to Calistoga. Along the way we sample the distinctive flavours of the county’s diverse region at charming vineyards, experiencing the richness Napa Valley has to offer. Under the shady oaks you will enjoy a delicious wine country lunch, with a menu that typically includes: Pesto pasta salad, local organic salad greens, fresh baked bread, artisan cheeses, seasonal fruit, and dessert. It's a great stop with time to rest up and enjoy the wonderful views. After lunch, you will return to your bike, rested and recharged. In the afternoon we reach Calistoga. Today we bike approx. 30 miles. |

Day 4 Calistoga (1B,1L) In the morning explore Calistoga on your own. Located at the very top of the beautiful Napa Valley, Calistoga is the hot springs resort destination. When you're here, you can relax and rejuvenate in renowned spas, discover world-class wines, explore artisan shops and fine restaurants, all in a small-town setting with a sophisticated yet friendly feel. This afternoon it is off to Bothe State Park (approx. 30 minutes). Located in the heart of the beautiful Napa Valley wine country, the Park offers hiking trails that go through stands of coastal redwoods as well as forests of Douglas-fir, tanoak, and madrone. Enjoy a leisurely stroll in Ritchey Canyon on the Redwood Trail to view the delicate ferns and listen to the water splashing down the rocky creek bed. We bring our own wine and cheese and picnic under the towering Douglas Firs before we visit a local biodynamic winery with a tour and of course tasting! Return to Calistoga for the evening. |

Day 5 Napa (1B,1L,1D) Nestled between Blue Ridge and Cedar Roughs, and just east of the Napa Valley, Lake Berryessa is a popular recreation destination for over 1.5 million visitors each year. Summer water temperatures reach 75 degrees, making Berryessa the perfect destination for water sports such as kayaking or canoeing. Yet there is way more to discover. Hike along the lake and with luck, you may see White Pelicans, Golden and Bald Eagles and the more common Western Grebes and Osprey. In the evening return to Napa and enjoy a last group dinner before it is time to say good bye. |

Day 6 San Francisco (1B) In the morning let your spirit soar on this one-of-a-kind wine country tour that you’ll never forget. Take an optional Hot Air Balloon Ride and float above the vineyards, exploring the majestic Napa Valley with an incredible birds’ eye view. Not your thing? Just relax or take in the last sights in Calistoga before we take you back to San Francisco where our adventure ends at approx 5pm.
